Measure
the Width

First measure the width.
Use a tape measure, ruler or yard stick. Right where your wall stops is where you start to measure. Use inches not feet. You can measure from the inside or outside of your house - whatever is easier for you.

Measure
the Height

Second measure the height.
Again, right where your wall stops is where you start to measure. Basically you’re measuring the hole in your wall, not the window. If you’re in question, take the larger measurement for pricing or give us a call and we’ll walk you right through the process.

Just Take Rough
Measurements

Just take rough measurements. Many times small measurement changes don't even change the price.
When you meet your installer, he or she will take exact measurements. Just enter the installers exact measurements before you checkout.

Two or More Windows Connected or a Curved Top Window

No problem.

Two or more windows? Just measure the hole in wall not the windows. When you select your window style look for a picture that looks like the set of windows you have connected together.

With special shaped windows, don’t worry about the shape when measuring for a price. Just use the largest measurement - width and height.

What about Trim

No need to include it in your measurements. Just measure the hole in your wall.

Most installers can install your window and leave your existing trim untouched. No need to buy new trim.
